We may also receive information about you from third parties that we work with, for example JustGiving, Shopify, or eBay, where you have consented to them sending us your information.

Personal information we collect about you may include your name, postal address, email address, phone numbers, date of birth, credit or debit card details, and whether you are a tax payer so that we can claim Gift Aid.

Data that is collected from the purchase of Raffle tickets is used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and is used solely for the purpose of processing raffle chances, and informing winners that they have won a prize via the contact details provided.

Grand Appeal Society is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by The Gambling Commission under account number 4932.

We also collect information about how our website is used and track which pages users visit when they follow links in our emails. We use this information to monitor and improve our website, services and activities e.g. to personalise website presentation or to see which services or events are of most interest. When you use our secure online donation or payment pages you will be directed to a specialist supplier company, who will receive your credit card number and contact information to process the transaction. We do not retain your credit or debit card details when a donation has been made or if you choose to pay for an online order using PayPal on the Gromit Unleashed Shop if you choose to pay using Shopify Payments the last 4 digits of your payment card are stored within the digital order record.

It is important that we keep your personal information up to date. You can contact us at any time if your circumstances change.

It is your choice whether and how you receive information from us about our work, fundraising and ways you get involved. We may use your contact details and personal preferences which you have told us about, which we have derived from cookies or which we have inferred from your service usage or market research about your profile. You can stop receiving emails by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in our marketing emails.

We will not use your details for marketing purposes if you tell us not to, however, we will retain your details on our suppression lists to help ensure that we do not contact you.

We will never sell your data to any third party. We will not share your details with other charities for marketing purposes. In order to carry out our work we may need to pass your details to service companies who are authorised to act on our behalf. Where we use third parties, we require them to adhere to appropriate controls to protect personal information.

To fulfil e-commerce orders, we pass the shipping name and address details provided at the time of purchase onto our chosen couriers, Parcelforce & Royal Mail, both of which are part of the Royal Mail Group PLC. For international orders placed, these couriers may also share your data with other third-party courier services within the destination country to be able to complete our service to you.
